Absolutely. That applies to everything in life though. Everything from getting your drivers licence, to finishing school.

What I'm saying is that I don't think it should be classed as a 'fad', a la ab rocker et al.

The only bad thing I have to say about it is that Tony Horton (the 'Coach' that leads you through the series) gets annoying after a while. Once you know how to do the exercises, mute the TV, and crank the stereo. (It still has text to tell you what you should be doing anyway).

actually there are a heap of reasons why I don't support the idea and I don't have to try it. You can do the worlds worst exercises and still get results. Results don't make something safe and/or effective.

There is no single routine in the world that is suitable for everybody. That program has massive potential to create postural imbalances and lead to future joint injuries..... about 90% of the population should not be doing plyometric exercises

huh?? Results don't make something effective? If it's effective, it works. If it works, you have results.

I agree with what you're saying, that there's many people that it's not perfect for. I agree, but it's a whole lot better than the single-muscle machines going around and for many better than going to a gym (perhaps for reasons other than the gym itself). Let's face it... anyone can give you poor instruction. In this case though, I think for many it would be the difference between getting up and doing something and leaving their behind on the couch. I know what I rekon is better.
